Angela Gregory, Sight Support’s Fundraising and Marketing Manager, said: “There are so many fantastic charities in the local area which do brilliant work in our community that we are thrilled to be shortlisted. It would be even more exciting to have the chance to work in partnership with Sainsbury’s and have the chance to receive support from their customers and colleagues, so we would really appreciate your help in taking a few minutes out of your busy day to vote for us.”

Here is an example from the Newland Avenue store.

The winning charity will then receive a year of support from the store, which includes fundraising and awareness raising.

The Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme has raised more than £13 million and has helped thousands of charities across the UK since its launch in 2009.
